The wait is almost over. A new football season begins this Sunday, 13th September, and Kingsley Olympic FC are ready to get the 2026/27 campaign underway.

After weeks of preparation, training and anticipation, four of our teams will take to the pitch this weekend, with our U8s, U9s, U11s and U12s all beginning their league programmes.

For everyone connected with Kingsley Olympic, our players, coaches, managers, parents, families and supporters. Sunday marks the beginning of another season representing the club and everything we stand for.

U8s – Lapal Colts U8 v Kingsley Olympic U8s
Our U8s begin their season on the road as they travel to Lapal Primary School to face Lapal Colts U8.

It is another exciting step in the development of this young group. At this age, the focus remains firmly on learning, enjoying football, building confidence and developing as a team.

U9s – Kingsley Olympic U9s v Kewford Eagles West U9
The U9s have home advantage for their opening fixture as they welcome Kewford Eagles West U9 to The Source.

The Source has been at the heart of Kingsley Olympic for many years, and it will be great to see competitive football return there on Sunday morning.

We hope our U9s can start their new season positively while continuing to develop their football, teamwork and confidence.

U11s – Kingsley Olympic U11s v FC Crystal U11
Our U11s also begin their campaign at home, with FC Crystal U11 providing the opposition.

With another year of development behind them, the new season brings fresh challenges and opportunities for the players.

The aim remains the same: compete, work hard for one another, enjoy playing football and continue developing both individually and collectively.

Completing Sunday's fixtures, our U12s make the short journey to The Brook Primary School for their opening game against Wordsley Wasps Allstars U12.

A local fixture is always a great way to begin a new campaign, and we wish the players and coaching team every success as they start another season together.

The first weekend of a new season is always a special one.

Months of planning and preparation go into getting our teams onto the pitch, and none of it would be possible without the commitment of our volunteer coaches and managers and the continued support of parents and families across the club.

As always, our ambitions go beyond results.

At Kingsley Olympic FC, we want our young players to enjoy their football, improve their ability and learn the values that sport can provide. Teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and development remain at the heart of what we do.

We want to develop players, but just as importantly, we want to help build confident young people and create positive experiences and memories through grassroots football.

We would love to see plenty of support on the sidelines this Sunday as our teams begin their seasons.

Whether home or away, please remember that grassroots football should always provide a positive environment for young players to learn and enjoy the game.
