It’s been another brilliant weekend of grassroots football at Kingsley Olympic. From our youngest Mini Kickers through to our Under 12s, every team showed great energy, teamwork, and commitment on the pitch. The development and attitude on display were fantastic to see, and once again our players did the club proud.

Here are this week’s stand-out performers who earned a well-deserved place in the Kingsley Olympic Team of the Week.

•Mini Kickers

Doug – A fantastic example of teamwork and attitude. Doug worked incredibly hard throughout the session and even stayed behind to help collect the equipment, great leadership and effort from one of our youngest players.

Ollie – A real bundle of energy. Ollie never stopped running, constantly closing down the ball and putting in some excellent tackles during the game. His enthusiasm and determination were brilliant to see.

•Under 8s

Parents’ Player: Thomas – Another solid performance at the back from Thomas, once again showing why he’s Mr. Consistent. Calm, composed, and a natural leader on the pitch a rock in defence who inspires those around him.

Manager’s Player: Nico – A great all-round performance from Nico. His work rate was superb throughout the game, constantly finding space and putting himself in great positions. His effort and commitment paid off with a well-deserved reward in front of goal.

Special Mention: Archie – A classic Kingsley No.9 display from Archie. He gave everything for the team, pressing tirelessly, chasing every ball, and showing an unbelievable work rate from start to finish.

•Under 10s

Parents’ Player: Ivo – A powerhouse at the back. Ivo was consistently strong all game, using his physicality and composure to put in an incredibly assured defensive performance. A real presence in the team.

Coaches’ Player: Joshua – A tireless performance in midfield from Joshua, showing brilliant determination and awareness. He battled hard, tracked back when needed, and played a vital role linking defence and attack.

•Under 11s

George Ward – A majestic display from the heart of midfield. George worked tirelessly all game, reading the play superbly and always being in the right place at the right time. His composure and vision stood out.

Jacob Gillis – A commanding performance full of confidence. Jacob won every battle, showed great skill with the ball at his feet, and was a joy to watch throughout.

•Under 12s

Rosa – Absolutely solid in defence from start to finish. Rosa’s hard work, focus, and determination helped shut down the opposition’s attacks and kept the back line organised throughout.

Alex – Controlled the midfield superbly, linking defence and attack with intelligence and precision. Alex showed excellent technical ability combined with relentless work rate — a real leader in the middle of the park.

A huge well done to all our players this week. The effort, attitude, and team spirit shown across all our age groups were fantastic. Every player continues to represent Kingsley Olympic with pride — keep up the great work, and we look forward to another exciting weekend of football ahead.
