KOFC TEAM OF THE WEEK

Tom Harris6 Oct - 07:47

Sunday 5th October 25

As another exciting weekend of grassroots football wraps up, we’re proud to spotlight the young stars who stood out with their performances, attitude, and team spirit in this week’s Kingsley Olympic Team of the Week.

From fearless defending to relentless energy up front, our youth players continue to show what it means to play with pride, passion, and perseverance. Here's a closer look at this week's standout performers:

U10s
Morgan

Morgan played with real passion and dedication throughout the game, showing a fantastic attitude from the first whistle to the last. Her determination and hard work were clear to see, and she was rightly rewarded for her tireless effort with a performance that inspired the whole team. A brilliant example of what it means to give everything for the badge.

Jaxon

A true engine in the side, Jaxon played with full energy all game. In the first half, he never stopped running, pressing, and supporting his teammates. In the second half, he turned up the heat even more – becoming a constant attacking threat and keeping the opposition on their toes. A top performance from start to finish.

U11s
Oscar Shorter

Oscar showed a tremendous amount of drive and discipline, sticking to his role and doing the hard work that sometimes goes unnoticed. His focus and team-first mentality helped keep the squad organised, and his commitment to the task at hand was a big part of the team’s solid showing. Great work, Oscar.

Thomas Mann

Thomas impressed with his fantastic hold-up play, showing maturity beyond his years in how he brought others into the game. Combined with an excellent work rate, he was central to everything positive going forward and put in a real shift for the team. A very intelligent and hardworking display.

U12s
Eva

Eva was a rock at the back for her team – defensively solid all game and showing strength, positioning, and smart decision-making under pressure. A real powerhouse, she led by example and made life difficult for the opposition at every turn. A performance full of confidence and class.

Louie

Louie was a constant threat throughout the match, always looking to make things happen in attack. His movement, energy, and desire to win the ball back quickly made him a nightmare for defenders. A hardworking and creative performance that showed just how dangerous he can be on his day.

U8s & Mini Kickers Update

Unfortunately, our U8s didn’t have a fixture scheduled this weekend, so they’ll be back in action soon with fresh legs and plenty of energy.

Our Mini Kickers session was called off due to the stormy weather conditions, but we look forward to welcoming our youngest footballers back next week.

Well Done to All Our Players

Each week, we’re proud to see so much effort, talent, and sportsmanship across all our age groups. Congratulations to Morgan, Jaxon, Oscar, Thomas, Eva, and Louie for earning their place in our Team of the Week – keep up the great work.

A big thank you to all the parents, coaches, and volunteers who continue to support our young players week in and week out.
