KOFC TEAM OF THE WEEK

Sunday 8th Match 2026

Kingsley Olympics young players once again demonstrated fantastic commitment, teamwork and determination across all age groups this week. From the Mini Kickers taking their first steps in the game to the older teams competing in challenging fixtures, the effort and enthusiasm on display continues to reflect the strong values of the club. The following players earned special recognition for their performances and attitudes.

Mini Kickers

• Arlo – Recognised for his excellent teamwork. Arlo worked well with his teammates throughout the session, showing a great understanding of sharing the ball and supporting others.

• Tommy – Awarded for his fantastic engagement from start to finish. Tommy showed great focus during the activities and demonstrated a real enthusiasm for learning and improving.

Under 7s

• Referee’s Player of the Week – Zander
Zander battled hard throughout the game, showing outstanding determination and effort from the first whistle to the last. He never gave up, competing strongly in every challenge and consistently putting himself into the action. His performance truly stood out and this recognition is thoroughly deserved.

• Parents’ Player of the Week – George
George delivered a fantastic all round performance. Playing outfield in the first half before stepping up to go in goal during the second half, he worked tirelessly wherever he was needed. His willingness to support the team and give his best effort in both roles made a huge difference.

Under 8s

• Manager’s Player – Archie
Archie produced a classic centre forward performance, leading the line with strength and confidence. He battled well for every ball and showed great determination going forward. Week by week he continues to grow stronger and more influential in his role.

• Parents’ Player – Alfie B
Our new signing Alfie made an immediate impact with a powerful and energetic display. His physical presence and work rate were outstanding as he covered the pitch from end to end, showing exactly what he can bring to the team moving forward.

• Special Mention – Reece (Goalkeeper)
Reece delivered an outstanding performance between the posts, producing several important moments that helped the team. His confidence and composure in goal were a major highlight.

It was another excellent overall team performance from the group, arriving at the perfect time as the squad prepares to enter the Trophy Group stage of the season.

Under 10s

• Parents’ Player – Joshua
Joshua produced a strong and influential midfield display. As always, he covered plenty of ground, putting in key tackles and supporting the team across the pitch. His work rate and commitment were vital to the team’s performance.

• Coaches’ Player – Gerald
Gerald delivered a powerful performance down the left hand side, working tirelessly throughout the match. His energy in both attacking and supporting play created numerous opportunities and made him a constant threat going forward.

Under 11s

• Jack B
Jack produced a strong performance in the centre of the park against tough and physical opposition. He showed great composure on the ball and competed well throughout the game.

• Max G
Max worked tirelessly for the team, battling hard in every challenge. His well timed tackles and determination to win the ball back helped the team maintain control during key moments.

Under 12s

• Jenson
Jenson was named Player of the Match for his performance in goal, making several important saves and showing great composure under pressure.

• Rosa
Rosa stood out in defence with a disciplined and determined display, helping to keep the opposition at bay.

• Joe
Joe performed well in midfield, contributing with strong positioning and supporting the team effectively throughout the match.

Another excellent week for Kingsley Olympic, with players across every age group demonstrating the hard work, teamwork the club is proud to represent. As the season progresses, it is fantastic to see so many young players developing their skills, supporting one another and enjoying their football. Well done to all players, coaches and supporters involved.
